Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!
By Melissa Baratta
According to the word of God, “Mary had pondered these things in her heart”.
As I read that today, I considered Mary’s dilemma. Like many of us today, we ask God for answers to problems that feel overwhelming. Life presents many obstacles with family and expectations for the holidays. Perhaps things do not always make sense to us, yet God is in control. Mary was tasked with parenting the very Son of God. She must have felt unprepared and possibly worried about how things “looked” to others. How can such an inexperienced common young girl be tasked with the birth of our Savior? We serve a God who looks past the “normal and ordinary” and sees us through all the circumstances of life.
Know that if you find yourself in unusual circumstances - He knows. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to “Trust in the Lord” with all we have. He sees those who are alone or feeling disparity in this season. Rely on the word of God to comfort you and know that you are loved.
The debt if gratitude to those who have served can never go repaid. We offer these humble words of thanks and encouragement as you celebrate Christmas with those around you.
We wish you a Merry and Blessed Christmas. May the joy of the birth of Jesus remind us of the biggest gift the world ever has received, Jesus Christ.
